Marriage is one of the most important sanskars in Sanatan Dharma, a sacred bond meant to bring companionship, growth and shared purpose. Yet many families face challenges along the way: a son or daughter whose marriage keeps getting delayed despite good proposals, engagements that break at the last moment, or couples who once shared warmth but now live with constant misunderstanding and distance.

Tradition looks to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati as the ideal divine couple. Maa Parvati's own tapasya to win Shiva as her husband is why she is worshipped for a suitable match, and Maa Katyayani, whom the gopis prayed to for Krishna, is invoked to remove delays in marriage. Where the birth chart shows Mangal Dosh or other planetary obstacles, specific shanti rites are added.

At the Sarveshwari Shakti Akhara, our sadhvis perform the pooja with a personal sankalp in your name, or in the name of the person seeking marriage. Depending on your situation, this may include Katyayani mantra jaap, Gauri-Shankar or Uma-Maheshwar pooja, Mangal Dosh shanti and a havan for harmony.
